Finally, the parts for the crank rebuild arrived from Erik Potze. He has a company knalnaarpotz in holland wich specialise in rebuilding and tuning classic japanese 2 strokers.
Unfortunately, some of the main bearings for the crank are not produced anymore, those special bearing has an oil guide lip wich is surposed to send the oil from the main bearing out to the big end conrod needle bearing.
Erik assured me, that crank would last just as long without these missing oil guide. He also told me that hardcore race bikes like the RG500 does not have this system, even modern 2 strokes dont have this system either. They also use these bearings on their own race bikes without any problems.. The oil will get to the bearings no matter what. Sounds okay, and i dont have any other alternatives, since these bearing dont excist anymore..
One thing i sure found out of, is that rebuilding a classic 2stroke triple crank is NOT cheap! Parts alone for the 550 crank is over 4000DKR (over 700 dollars) and thats without new Conrods...
Now i only need the 3 big end conrod needle bearings, that i forgot to order at eriks shop..
I will get back once the rebuild is ready
Here are the parts for the crank
