Crankenstein

Everything is lined up for assembly except the crank. The donor crank that i had first hoped was in good condition, showed after a wash of gasoline, that the seals and main bearing was not much better than the original crank!! These cranks are not an easy find, especially not in working condition. A new crank costs a fortune, and getting the old rebuild by a pro costs a fortune!!. This is something of a task to do myself but with some research its might possible..

Homemade crank bearing puller.. I had to make this special puller to get the old besrings off the crank. It worked perfectly

I'we descided to rebuild the crank my self. And right now im making some tools to help me get it back together.

Engine tuning

The engine is being tuned by porting the crankcase ports and the buttom of the cylinders ports. The area where the ports on cylinders and crankcase meets has also been optimized for better flow. They did'nt fit perfectly together. The intake channel in the cylinders has had a lot of work done to it, i thinks this is where i will get the biggest gain. The factory work was not very good here either. Last but certainly not the least, a set of Jemco pipes have been ordered!

Just cant wait now!
